1960 - 1994

Airton Sena Dasilva je rodjen 21.marta 1960 godine u brazilskoj prestonici Sao Paolu kao sin Miltona Dasilve bogatog industrijalca i čoveka koga su svi poznavali kao imućnog biznismena,tako da je Airton od samog rođenja već imao dobra predispozicije da uspe u životu.Bilo je pitanje samo kojim će putem krenuti.

Sa četiri godine Airton je dobio svoj prvi karting,koji je bio ručno izrađen i nije bio toliko snažan ali za dečaka njegovih godina to je bio pravi auto sa kojim bi mogao da napravi prve korake i oseti čari brzine.Vozeći po očevom imanju Airton je pokazao zainteresovanost za voznju.
When he was four years old,he got his first karting,hand-made and not so powerful.But,forthe boy of his age that was a real car that maked him possible to make his first steps and feel passion for speed.
While driving on fathers property Ayrton showed interesting for driving.

Za 10.rodjendan Airton je dobio svoj prvi pravi karting,imao je 100 kubika i to je već bila mašina sa kojom se moglo debitovati na pravim trkama.Ali nažalost završilo se samo na treninzina jer je u Brazilu bilo zabranjeno učešće na trkama mlađim od 13 godina.Tri godine kasnije debitovao je na karting stazi "Interlagos" i tu je zabeležio svoju prvu pobedu.1974 godine Sena postaje šampion Sao Paola u juniorskoj kategoriji.1975-vicešampion takođe u juniorskoj kategoriji,a već sledeće 1976 ponovo postaje šampion Sao Paola u kategoriji do 100 kubika.Narednih par godina Airton ima uspešnu trkačku karijeru,što u njemu budi želju da proširi svoj talenat i na evropu.
For 10-th birthday,Ayrton got his first real karting that had 100 cc and was a "mashine" that he could debute with on his first races.But,unfortunately,all ended on practicing beacouse there eas a restriction for younger than 13 to participate in brasilian races.Three years later he debuted at kartin track "Interlagos",where he got his first victory.1974 Senna is becoming a champion of Sao Paolo at yunior category.1975 vice-champ at yunior categoty too.And 1976,again,he is a champion of Sao Paolo in category of 100 cc.In next few years Ayrton had successful racing career,that awoked in him a wish to expand his talent on europe too.

1981 godine Airton je stigao u evropu kao vozač formule ford 1600 za tim Van Diemen,prva trka se vozila u Brands Hatch-u i tu je zabeležio osmo mesto.Ta godina za Airtona nije bila toliko uspešna,suočio se sa nedostatkom sponzora ali se upornošću i hrabrošću ipak vratio na stazu.1982 godine postao je šampion u klasi 2000 i ostvario 22.pobede sa timom Van Diemen.1983 godine debituje u formuli 3 i postaje šampion.Formula 3 je bila dobra odskočna daska za Formulu 1.
In England he arived 1981 as formula ford 1600 driver for Van Diemen team.First race was driven in Brands Hatch,and there he got 8-th place.That year wasn't so successful,he was confronted with sponsors limitation,but with his persistency and bravery he returned track.1982 becomed champion in class 2000 cc with Van Diemen team and got 22 victorys.1983 he debuted in Formula 3 and become an champion. Formula 3 was leaping point for entering Formula 1.

1984. godine Sena stiže u Formulu 1,u skromni tim Toleman-Hart. Te godine nije zabeležio neke značajne rezultate,postigao je jedno treće mesto i sakupio 13 poena u šampionatu.Na sebe je skrenuo pažnju trkom u Monte Carlu po jakoj kiši.Iza sebe je ostavio vozače poput Laude,Prosta i mnogih drugih ,ali je trka bila prekinuta tako da je Sena ostao bez pobede. 1985.godine Sena beleži prvu pobedu na drugoj trci u Portugalu,vozeći za tim Lotus.Trka je vožena po nemogućim uslovima,po kiši ali je Airton dominirao od samog starta pa sve do cilja,trku je odvezao u jednom dahu.Te godine završio je kao četvrti u šampionatu sakupivši 38 poena,imao je dve pobede,dva druga i dva treća mesta. 1986.godine Airton nastavlja da vozi za tim Lotus,beleži dve pobede i par drugih mesta što ga svrstava na četvrto mesto u šampionatu. 1987.godina je poslednja sezona sa Lotusom,Airton iz skromnog Lotusovog automobila izvlači maksimum i postiže dve uzastopne pobede i četiri druga mesta .Sezonu završava kao treći sa 57 poena.
Sena prelazi u McLaren
1984. Senna arrived in Formula 1 in modest tim Toleman-Hart.That year he didn’t made some notable results,only one third place and he got 13 points in championship.He called attention to self in Monte Carlo verry raignfull race.He left behind drivers like Lauda,Prost etc… but race was terminated so Senna remained without victory . 1985 Senna in Lotus team got his first victory on second race in Portugal.Race was driven in impossible conditions throught the rain.Ayrton dominated sinc start until finish,he drove in one breathe race.That year he finished as fourth in championship gattering 38 points.He got two victories,two second places and two third places. 1986 Ayrton continued driving for Lotus team ,got two victories and two second places,that brought him fourth place in championship. 1987 is last season with Lotus.Ayrton pullout-max from”modest” Lotus car and gained two uninterrupted victories and four second places. He finishes season as third with 57 points.

1988.godina je godina uspeha za Senu,konačno je došao u tim sa kojim može da dobija,konačno vozi automobil koji može da konkuriše ostalima.Airton I McLaren su bili nepobedivi tandem te sezone,ali bitka se nije vodila između timova već između dva vozača Sene i Prosta .Sena je pokazao da je sazreo kao vozač I uspeo da osvoji titulu šampiona-ono što je celog života želeo.Sledeće 1989.godine napetost u McLaren-u raste,odnos Sene i Prosta došao je u tačku ključanja .Cele sezone jurili su jedan za drugim od “RIA” do “ADELAIDE” kulminacija je bila u Japanu kada je Prost udario u Senu.Sena je diskvalifikovan i Prost je dobijo titulu u ruke.Ipak na toj trci Sena je pokazao svoju superiornost i moć da ogromni
vremenski zaostatak zameni za pobedu.
Senna je pobednik ...
1990. Sena nije srećan što na njegovom automobilu stoji broj ″27″ i očajnički želi da ga skloni odatle.To mu polazi za rukom ali ponovo ima Prosta za rivala.Sena beleži šest pobeda i završava sezonu u Japanu spektakularnim sudarom sa Prostom,to je odlučilo šampiona.
1991. Broj "1" ponovo se smeši na vrhu McLarena mp4/6.Sena je te sezone bio na vrhuncu svoje karijere,i sa automobilom kakav je Mclaren imao je dobre šanse da osvoji jos jednu titulu svetskog sampiona.To mu je pošlo za rukom i ovaj put.Sezona 1991 je bila još jedna u nizu uspeha Airtona Sene,od ukupno 16 trka pobedio je na 6,osvojio tri druga mesta i dva treća mesta.Čitave sezone vodio je bitke sa snažnim Wiliamsovim automobilima i na kraju magični Airton ipak osvaja titulu.

1992. Wiliams je u punom zamahu,Hondini motori jedva održavaju korak sa snažnim Renoima .Sena beleži samo tri pobede u sezoni i jedno drugo mesto-slab rezultat za Šampiona,ali je Sena u Monaku pokazao svoje neverovatne vozačke sposobnosti.Do posledjeg kruga vodio je ljutu bitku sa Menselom i njegovim "Renoom".skromni McLaren je samo zahvaljujući Seninom umeću ostao na prvoj poziciji.
1993. Honda napušta McLaren,u igru ulazi skromni Fordov motor koji bi trebao parirati Ferariju,Wiliams-u,Benetonu.Sena je znao da će 1993 biti teška godina za njega i njegov tim,ali on je izuzetno odana i uporna ličnost.Trkom u Doningtonu za Veliku Nagradu evrope to je i pokazao,po monsunskom vremenu obišao je osam vozača u samo jednom krugu i naravno.... pobedio. Sezonu je završio sa četiri pobede i dva druga mesta,pobedom u Adelaidi oprostio se od tima McLaren postigavši svoju četrdeset prvu i posledju pobedu u karijeri.1993 je prekretnica u Formuli 1.
Prost se povlači-Sena prelazi u Wilijams...

1988 was a year of success for Senna,finaly he got in team that he can win with.Finaly is driving a car which can compete to others.Ayrton and McLaren where unconquerable team that season.But the battle wasn't between teams,it was between two driwers:Senna and Prost.Senna showed that he is matured as driver and he got his tittle of champion - that he ever desired.
Next,1989 tension in McLaren is increasing,relationship between Senna and Prost come till boiling point.Whole season they where chasing each other from "RIO" to "ADELIDE",culmination was in Japan,when Prost hitt Senna.Senna was disqualified and Prost got tittle in his hands.However,in that race Senna showed his supremacy and power to swop falling behind with victory.
Senna is winner...
1990. Senna wasn't so happy that number "27" is on his car,he desperate attempted to get it out of there.Thas year,he succesfully made that come true,but again he had Prost for rival.Senna got six victories and finishes season in Japan with spectacular crash with Prost.That determined champion.
1991. Number "1" smiling again on top of McLaren mp4/6 Senna was on top of his career and with car like McLaren he had good chance to get one more wourld champion title.He made that again.Season of 1991. was one more in row of Ayrton Senna cucceses,he won six off sixteen races,got three second places and two third places.Whole season he led batle with strong Williams cars and on the end magic Ayrton still got title.
Ayrton is unstopable...
1992. Williams is in full swing,Honda motors bearly keep tuch with strong Renault.Senna got only three victories in season and one second place-bad result for champion,but Senna showed his uncredible driving ability in Monaco.Until last lap he run furious batle with Mansell and his Renault.Modest McLaren is just thankfuly to Senna ability remained on first position.
1993. Honda is leaving McLaren,and modest Ford motor is taking his place and should parry to Ferrary,Williams,Benneton.Senna knew that 1993 will be difficult year for him and his team,but he was extreamly devoted and persistent pearson.With race in Donington for Europe Grand Prix he showed that,through monsoon weather he got rount eight drivers in just one lap and ofcourse...won.He finished season with four victories and two second places,with victory in Adelaide he is parting from McLaren team attained his fourtyfirst and last victory in his career.1993. was turning-point in Formula1

1994 - crna sezona za Formulu 1

Sezona je loše počela za Senu,finalna verzija bolida Wilijamsa FW 16b stigla je dvadeset dana pred početak sezone,tako da Airton nije imao dovoljno vremena da upozna svoj automobil.Sena se žalio da mu je upravljač suviše daleko od njegovih ruku i da mu to otežava vožnju.Tehničari su odmah modifikovali letvu volana u nadi da će rešiti Senine probleme-nažalost to je bilo kobno.Letva volana je isečena i dodata je cev manjeg promera od same letve,to će na trci u San Marinu - pri naj većem opterećenju izazvati izletanje Seninog bolida sa staze i nesreću sa fatalnim ishodom.Sezona je počela trkom u Sao Paolu,Seninim rodnim mestom,pred ogromnom publikom Sena je imao želju da ostvari pobedu,ali to se nije dogodilo...U 55. krugu ulazeći u jedno od posledjih krivina pred izlazak na start-cilj,Senin Wilijams ulazi u "spin" i okreće se na stazi,bolid se gasi i gubi se svaka nada za osvajanjem bodova...Loš početak sezone...Druga trka se vozila u Japanu na stazi Aida,Sena opet nije imao sreće-od lošeg je krenulo na gore,na samom startu u opštem metežu Mika Hakinen ga udara odpozadi i izgurava sa staze.Sena je nezadovoljan,ovako loš početak sezone svakako nije mogao očekivati...Kobna trka na kojoj se jedna brilijantna karijera završila se vozila u Imoli na stazi "Enzo & Dino Ferrari".U petak na zvaničnom treningu u krivini "Varijanta Basa" izleteo je Rubens Barikelo i velikom brzinom udario u zaštitni zid od guma,prebačen je u bolnicu usled brojnih povreda.U subotu,takođe na zvaničnom treningu u krivini "Vilnev" gine Austrijanac Roland Racenberger pri brzini od 300 km/h. Sena vidno potrešen Rolandovim udesom odlazi na mesto nesreće i posle toga završava trening i odlazi u svoj "motor-home". Noć pred sutrašnju trku bila je paklena i puna emocija,o tome su knjige napisane....Start Velike Nagrade San Marina takodje nije prosao bez incidenata u kome su učestvovala dva automobila.Na stazu je pušten Safety Car i on se sa ostalim vozačima vrteo po nesrećnoj Imoli nekoliko krugova,kada se sklonio u stranu Seni je ostao samo još jedan krug u životu.....POSLEDNJI KRUG
Sena je dominirao od samog start-finiš pravca,snažni Wilijams je grabio ka zlokobnoj krivini Tamburello,Šumaher nije imao mogućnosti da ga na bilo koji način ugrozi jer FW16 je bio nezaustavljiv.....Nezaustavljiv sve do ulaska u krivinu Tamburello...Onda nastaje pakao,na samom izlasku iz krivine Tamburello pri brzini od 322 km/h Sena ostaje bez volana koji ne reaguje na njegove zahteve,produžava pravo i udara u zaštitni betonski zid.Svima je poznat trenutak udara,ta slika nam se duboko urezala u pamćenje i ostaće tamo zauvek...Lekari su sve od sebe dali da povrate osnovne životne funkcije na čelu sa profesorom Sidom Votkinsom ali Seni nije bilo pomoći.Wilijams ga je zauvek izdao i ostavio nas obožavaoce da doveka patimo za njim.....

Season started very bad for Senna,final version of Williams FW 16b arrived twenty days before start of season,so Ayrton had no time to get know his car.Senna was complaining that his steering-wheel is too far from his hands and it was complicating his drive.Technitions immediately modificated wheel-lath with hope it will fix Senna's problems-Unfortinately that was fatal.Wheel-lath has been cuted off and pipe of smaler radius was added,that will in San Marino race -by bigest load cause emerge flying of Senna's car from track and accident with fatal result.Season started with race in Sao Paulo ,Senna's birth place,in front of huge audience Senna had wish to acquire victory,but that haven't occured...At 55-th lap,as he was entering one of latest curves before entering start-finish straight,Senna's williams entered the spin and was turning on track,engine is shuting down and there is no hope for gaining points...Bad start of season...
Secon race was in Japan at Aida circuit,Senna had no luck again-from bad to worst,on start while there was total chaos,Mika Hakkinen hited him from the back and pushed him out of track.Senna wa dissatisfied,such bad start of season wasn't expected at all events...Fatal race on wich one brilliant career finished was driven in Imola at Enzo & Dino Ferrari track.At friday on official training at Varianta Basa curve Rubens Barichello got out of track and in huge speed hit at protecting wall of tires.He got transported at hospital becouse of much injuryes.
At Suterday,also at official training at Villeneuve curve,australian Roland Ratzenberger died at 300 km/h.Senna visible shocked with Roland's crush arrived at crush site and after that he finishes his training and got away to his motor-home.Night before tomorows race was like hell and full of emotions,books were writen about that..Start of San Marino Grand Prix wasn't without incident too,two cars participated.Safety car was let out and with rest of drivers was turning around unfortunately Imola several circles,when he left,Senna had only one more lap in life...
LAST LAP : Senna dominated from start-finish direction,strong Williams was grasping to the fatal Tamburello curve.Schumacher haven't got possibility to imperil him on any way beacouse MW16 was unstopable...Unstopable until he got into Tamburello curve...Then,there was hell,ao way out from curve at speed of322 km/h Senna left with wheels that don't react at his demants,he prolonged straight and hits at concrete protecting wall.To all of us is well known the moment of hit,that picture is deep incised in our memories and will stay there forever...Doctors have given all of them selfs to return basic function with professor Sid Votkins in front.There was no help for Senna,Williams had treasoned him for good and left as funs to eternally suffer for him...
Rest in peace champion,you will forever be in our hearts.
